Funeral services planned for Bob Dawdy, member of the Velaires

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, January 26, for Bob Dawdy. The Sergeant Bluff, Iowa man was a member of the Velaires. The Velaires are best known for their top ten hit "Roll Over Beethoven." They are also members of the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The obituary on the Waterbury Funeral Service website says Dawdy passed away Monday, January 21 at his home.

Funeral services are set for 10:30am Saturday at the Community United Methodist Church in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Dawdy will be cremated following the service and interment will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-to-8pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at the church.
