The Musketeers broke a ten-game winless streak and earned just their second road win of the season, 3-2 at Tri-City on Saturday night. Sioux City is now 2-12-7 in games away from the Tyson Events Center.
Sioux City goaltender Kyle Hayton had 41 saves and Jake Guentzel added two goals, one in the first period and one in the second. Joe Snively started the scoring for the Musketeers with a power play goal at the 7:58 mark of the first period.
Tri-City outshot the Muskies, 43 to 32. The Storm (16-19-4) scored both goals late in the third period.
Sioux City (7-21-10) will travel to Kearney again on Tuesday and are back home next Saturday to play Sioux Falls.
