Nebraska man injured in crash on icy roadway

CEDAR COUNTY, Neb. (KTIV) -

A Lincoln, Nebraska man is hospitalized after an accident in Cedar County Monday morning.  State Patrol officials say 35-year old Gary Thompson, Jr. was southbound on US Highway 81, just north of the Highway 59 junction just before 6 a.m.  Troopers say Thompson lost control of his vehicle on icy roads, entering the ditch and rolling.  Thompson was ejected from his vehicle and transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

There's been no update on Thompson's current condition.  Troopers say Thompson was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
