BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Black Hawk County employee is in the hospital with multiple injuries; he was driving a road grader Monday morning when it was hit by a train.

It happened on Nesbit Road just north of Dubuque Road near Jesup.

51-year-old Rick Wermerskirchen was driving the road grader.  He was taken by an ambulance to the hospital, though none of his injuries is believed to be life-threatening.

No one on the train was hurt.
