A soldier serving in Afghanistan has sent his new-found four-legged friend to the states.

Andrew Wahl says he found the puppy he named "Thor" while he was out on patrol.  His wife, Maggie and their five-year-old son Mark, were all smiles when they picked up the pup at the Kansas City International Airport on Tuesday.  The 25-year-old soldier had been searching for this particular breed for about five years when fate brought him and Thor together overseas.

Wahl is set to come home from Afghanistan at the end of February.
