A Stuart, Nebraska man will go on trial in July related to a stabbing in Orchard on New Year's Day

NELIGH, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -

24-year-old Brett Ohde appeared in Antelope County District Court Wednesday.

He faces felony burglary, assault and weapons charges after police say he broke into a house in Orchard on New Year's Day and attacked the homeowner with a knife.

Ohde has pled not guilty.

The trial date is set for June 10th.

He is currently free on bond.
