Second finalist for UNI president visits campus

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Despite evening classes being canceled at the University of Northern Iowa, many still made their way to hear from the second of three candidates for university president.

Avijit Ghosh currently serves as a senior advisor to the president at the University of Illinois. He also teaches at the university's college of business.

Ghosh was put in charge of the University of Illinois' economic development mission as well as numerous fundraising campaigns.

"I hope to be able to help the University of Northern Iowa, working with everybody to provide leadership to create an even better future for the university," Ghosh said.
