Eight white tiger and lion cubs were examined by a vet and given vaccinations.
Staff at the San Diego Zoo had their hands full Wednesday morning trying to examine a baby panda. Xiao Liwu refused to sit still for the exam and was more interested in playing. It took three sets of hands to measure and examine the giant panda cub. Vets checked out his eyes, teeth, heart, and lungs. Xiao Liwu and the other giant pandas at the San Diego Zoo are on a research loan from China.
Same story, different animals in Germany.
Eight white tiger and lion cubs took center stage in Germany. They were examined by a vet and given vaccinations. The cubs showed their dissatisfaction with their growls. This is the first time the cubs had been separated from their mothers, the tigress Bianca and the lioness Luna. White tigers and lions are very rare.
