Siouxland plunges into the deep freeze

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Thursday was all about how cold the temperatures and the bitter wind chills.

Highs Thursday were only in the single digits and wind chills hovered around -20!

The lows will obviously be cold Friday night as we head below zero, but the wind will settle down as the hours go along meaning the wind chill will eventually get a little bit warmer for us.

We'll start to warm a bit better Friday but clouds are going to move in on Friday and that gives us a chance of a little afternoon light snow.

The warming trend continues over the weekend as high go back into the 30's with 40 possible next week.
