NORTH LIBERTY (KWWL) -

One person was injured after an accident involving three semi truck near North Liberty on Friday morning.

The Iowa State Patrol says I-380 northbound traffic began to slow down near mile marker 5 at around 11:10 a.m. Friday.

Troopers say a semi driven by 52-year-old Curtis Albrecht of Tiskilwa, Illinois slowed down, but was rear ended by another semi driven by 48-year-old Thomas Woodruff of Elk City, Oklahoma.

Woodruff's semi was then rear ended by a third semi driven by 48-year-old Kenneth Huston of Girard, Illinois.

Albrecht was able to drive his truck away from the scene.  The other two had to be towed away.

Woodruff was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for observation.
