NEAR SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The roads were slippery Saturday. Authorities were called out to multiple fender benders.
But, a four-car accident on Highway 75 kept crews the most busy. It happened around 4PM between Sioux City and Hinton.
11 people were involved, eight adults and three children.
"It's the worst one I've responded to, today. The black SUV was trying to cross, stopping at C80 across Highway 75 but couldn't stop and slid across the roadway and was struck by the Suburban that was southbound," Sioux City Police Sergeant Brad Bollinger said.
Bollinger said a truck which stopped to help was then hit by another car that could not stop.
He said a total of 8 people were transported to both Sioux City hospitals with unknown injuries.
