Yankton firefighters had busy year in 2012

The Yankton, South Dakota Fire Department had its busiest year in more than a decade in 2012.  Volunteer firefighters responded to 250 calls last year, according to Deputy Fire Chief Larry Nickels.  That's up from 231 the year before and the most since 2000.

Grass fires during last year's drought were a big reason for the high number of calls.
