Five people submit names for Northeast Nebraska Judicial Opening

LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -

Five people have submitted applications for appointment to the County Judge opening in the 7th Judicial District of Nebraska that opened after the resignation of Judge Richard Krepela.  The area includes Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, and Wayne counties.

Those submitting applications include: Patrick Carney, Michael Long, Dennis Moreland and David Ptak, all of Norfolk, and Daniel Bracht of West Point.

A hearing to hear from the applicants is set for 9:00 a.m. on February 25th.  After that, the Judicial Nominating Commission will review the information and chose a new judge.  The public is welcome to attend the hearing and speak about the candidates.
