Meyers elected to fill final 7 months of school board term

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

John Meyers will return to the Sioux City Community School Board.

Tuesday, voters elected Meyers to serve the last seven months of the term he was appointed to when Nancy Mounts resigned for health reasons more than a year ago.

Meyers bested three challengers, including Paul Gorski, Jacqueline Ritter, and Paul Speidel.

Vote totals:

John Meyers: 1,241 votes

Jacqueline Ritter:452 votes

Paul Gorski: 347 votes

Paul Speidel: 282 votes
