SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

A man will go to trial after police say he randomly fired a gun into a crowd of people and killed a Sioux City woman.  It happened near a home on Villa Avenue.

Police say 33-year-old Fernando Jaimes-Martinez fired that gun after an argument broke out.  A plea and sentencing hearing was set for Monday, but that has been cancelled, and a trial will be held February 19th.

Martinez faces several charges including first degree murder and willful injury in the death of Karla Gonzalez.
