It's a sign of the times.  Tax filings have not only gone paperless, now you can pay your taxes on your smart phone.

For years we've filed our w2's on-line.  Now, you can e-file them from the palm of your hand.

 Several apps let you prepare your income taxes, find helpful tips, and check your refund's status.

"The biggest advantage is the quickness, the ease, the efficiency of it.  It will file your whole process there within five minutes, and so you can be done within a matter of sitting on your couch and your done with your taxes," said the Sioux City Verizon Wireless Manager, Dan Borchers.

Snap a photo of your W-2, and the "TurboTax Snap Tax" app lets you file your state and federal income taxes.

"H & R Block Mobile" answers commonly asked questions and gives you an estimate of your refund.

Even the Internal Revenue Service has an app, called "I-R-S-2-Go".  It gives helpful tax tips and lets you check the status of your refund.
