The Sioux City Musketeers suffered their 21st, one goal loss of the season, 3-2 to Des Moines in a shootout Saturday night.

The Buccaneers wasted little time getting on the board, as Eric Martinsson pounded home a rebound to put Des Moines up 1-0 a minute and nine second into the game.

Sioux City answered 13 minutes later as Jake Guentzel also scored on a loose puck in front of the net, to tie the game at one.

Trailing 2-1 heading into the third period and with a man advantage, Michael Kapla tied the game at two.

Tanner Karty scored the game winning goal in a sudden death shootout to lift Des Moines past Sioux City.
