Former Sioux City police officer charged in Colorado bank robberies

Colorado Springs, Colo. (KTIV) -

A former Sioux City police officer faces multiple bank robbery charges in Colorado.

Police arrested 46-year-old Scott Brasselero Wednesday afternoon.

He was in the Fremont County, Colorado jail.

Brasselero faces two counts of aggravated robbery in Colorado Springs for his alleged role in the robbery of the First Bank, in January 2012, and the Safeway Pharmacy, last month.

Brasselero faces other possible charges in Castle Rock, Pueblo, Douglas and Arapahoe Counties.
