Sentencing delayed for man convicted of second degree murder

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The sentencing for a Waterloo man convicted of second degree murder has been delayed.

22-year-old James Farnsworth II was to be sentenced in Cerro Gordo County on February 26.

However, a scheduling conflict for his lawyer caused the date to be delayed to March 5.

A jury found Farnsworth guilty of killing Ian Decker after a fight. Decker was later found lying outside Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa where he later died.
