UPDATE: Plymouth County North West REC customers now have power

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) -

Around one-thousand customers affected by a power outage north of Sioux City in Plymouth County are now back on-line.

North West Rural Electric Cooperative officials say the outage last evening, was caused by a loss of a structure on the transmission line feeding a substation.

Crews are still working out issues related to the outage and if a customer has any problems call 712-546-4149.
