CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (KTIV) -
A band-aid helped lead police to a former Sioux City cop, who's charged with robbing a bank and a pharmacy in Colorado.
Police arrested 46-year-old Scott Brasselero Wednesday afternoon. Investigators suspect him in the robbery of the First Bank and the Safeway Pharmacy in the town of Castle Rock, Colo. last month.
After the bank robbery, investigators pulled the surveillance camera footage, which allegedly showed Brasselero had walked to the bank from a nearby Wal-Mart store. The surveillance camera at the Wal-Mart helped police find band-aid tabs and tissue that Brasselero allegedly used before the alleged heist. The DNA on that evidence led investigators to Brasselero, who according to police, was a DNA match.
Brasselero faces possible charges in four other Colorado counties.
