Penn National Gaming files objection to Sioux City Entertainment financing

Penn National Gaming, the owner of Sioux City's Argosy Casino, has filed an objection to a financing proposal by Sioux City Entertainment.

SCE is one of three operators vying for the license for a land-based casino in Woodbury County.

They're proposing a $118(M) Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

After the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission meeting last month, SCE filed a financing amendment to its plan to include a $35(M) investment from former Peninsula Gaming Chairman Brent Stevens.

Ho-Chunk Incorporated filed a formal objection.

Now, Penn National has done the same.

Both companies say the amendment violates the licensing application process since it was filed more than two months after the November deadline.
