Innovation market offers cash prize for top entrepreneurial idea

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Got a good idea? There's an opportunity to help grow that idea and turn it into a reality. Sioux City Growth Organization otherwise known as Sioux City GO is hosting an Innovation Market.

It started three years ago as a social think-tank. The goal is to help good ideas, and the minds behind them, create opportunities that will benefit the community.

The top idea winner earns a $5,000 prize. This year, a second place prize of $2,500 will also be awarded.

The event will be held Tuesday, February 26, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Commerce Building located at 520 Nebraska Street in Sioux City.

Dusty Davidson, a serial technology entrepreneur will be speaking at the event. He's considered one of the leading innovators and voices for technology startups in the Midwest.
