Iowa State improved to 8-5 in the Big 12 and grabbed just their third road win of the season, winning 87-82 at Baylor.
The Cyclones led 41-36 at the half, but Baylor quickly cut the lead to one. Tyrus McGee hits a the 3-pointer to give Iowa State a four point lead and the Cyclones never trailed in the final 20 minutes. McGee tied a career-high with 22 points in just 28 minutes of action.
Senior Melvin Ejim, leading the Big 12 in rebounding had another double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Georges Niang had 15. Korie Lucious added 16 points as Iowa State improved to 18-8 overall.
Iowa State, now 3-7 in road games and 14-0 at Hilton Coliseum, will host Texas Tech on Saturday at 12:45.
