Brittni Donaldson led the Panthers with 14 points in a 73-66 loss to Creighton on Thursday.

The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball team fell to the Creighton Bluejays Thursday night 73-66. Brittni Donaldson and Jacqui Kalin led the Panthers with 14 and 13 points apiece with Kalin adding five assists.
The Panthers went into halftime down six points with Brittni Donaldson leading the team with 11 points, making the score 43-37. UNI shot 45 percent from the field in the first half and 54.5 percent from the arc.
UNI cut the Creighton lead to three points with 13:38 left in the second half when Donaldson found Amber Kirschbaum under the basket for a quick lay-up to make the score 48-45. Kirschbaum then put the Panthers within two with 11:17 on the clock with a nice move into the lane to make the score 51-49.
Brown cut the Bluejay lead to two points again with less than seven minutes remaining in the game, but Creighton hit their ninth three-pointer of the game to make the score 61-56 with 5:59 on the clock. Creighton then went on a 9-2 run to extend their lead to 67-58 with less than three minutes to play off a three-pointer from Ally Jensen.
Kalin hit a late lay-up to cut the Creighton lead to five points with less than a minute left in the game to make the score 69-64. The Panthers were unable to make up the difference and eventually fell 73-66.
