SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Since records have been kept, the National Weather Service says there's never been 8 inches of snow on February 21st, until this past Thursday.

The previous record was 3.7 inches in 1913.

Thursday's 8 inches of snow is equivalent to 0.62 inches of liquid, which also beats the previous record of 0.55 inches set back in 1913.
