NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -
As you walk around downtown Norfolk Friday morning, you were surrounded by the sound of shovels and plows scraping snow of the roads and sidewalks.
Officially, six inches of snow fell here in Norfolk.
City and state roads crews were out in the very early morning hours to try and clear the roads, which are still pretty snow packed.
Norfolk's snow emergency is still in effect.
Road conditions are worse in the rural areas.
Officials with the Nebraska Department of Roads are still urging caution for anyone who has to travel Friday, especially in neighboring towns that got more snow than here in Norfolk.
We have reports of seven inches falling in towns like Madison and Hartington, and eight inches fell in Wayne.
We haven't had report of any serious accidents related to the weather, but law enforcement officials have been out helping numerous people who found themselves stuck in ditches Friday morning.
