NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV/US92) -
A Norfolk, Nebraska, man faces nearly two dozen charges of burglary in connection with a string of burglaries in northeast Nebraska.
43-year-old Richard Scrivner Junior is charged with 20-counts of burglary and one count of motor vehicle theft. He was arrested Thursday after an investigation into burglaries that targeted numerous businesses in Norfolk.
Scrivner is also accused of robbing two businesses in Battle Creek. One of them was the "Red Bud True Value" on Main Street. Police say he stole several tools and cash. They also believe he tried to break open at ATM at Tilly's convenience store A court date has not been set.
