DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -
The trillion dollar budget cuts coming from Congress were a hot topic at the National Governor's Association Winter Conference.
Iowa's Governor says the state is in good shape.
"The federal government is a big mess. They are spending a trillion dollars more than they're taking in every year, and we can't wait for the federal government. We've got our financial house in order. We made the tough decisions two years ago. We're spending only 97% of revenue," said Gov. Terry Branstad, (R) Iowa.
