SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The wicked weather we saw last week kept vendors and people visiting the 56th Annual Home Show on their toes.
Nancy Narciso, President of the Home Builders Association, says some vendors count on this event to bring in much of their company's business for the year.
So, it was somewhat of a relief that attendance climbed over the weekend after a rough start on Thursday.
"We had extremely bad weather and definitely affected our count on Thursday, and we did find with our exhibitors that the people who came down were very serious buyers so they [vendors] were extremely pleased," said Narciso.
And it's not just the vendors, proceeds from tickets for the show help the Home Builder Association donate to Camp High Hopes.
Narciso says about 8,000 people attended over four-days.
