Two public hearings will be held in Madison, NE for two open judge positions

MADISON, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -

The Judicial Nominating Commission will hold a 9 a.m. public hearing for the position of District County Judge while a 1 p.m. hearing will be held for a District Court Judge position.

County Judge position is left following the resignation of Judge Richard Krepela.

Those applying include Norfolk attorneys Patrick Carney, Michael Long, David Ptak and Dennis Moreland along with West Point attorney Daniel Bracht.

The District Court Judge's post is open following the retirement of Judge Robert Ensz.

Carney and Bracht are also applying for this position along with attorneys Michael Brogan and Mark Johnson of Norfolk.

The district includes Madison, Antelope, Cuming, Knox, Pierce, Stanton and Wayne Counties.
