Two Sioux City men are arrested after police say they forced a local college student into a car at gunpoint. Police say around 1:30 Monday morning, a Briar Cliff University student was walking across a campus parking lot when he was summoned by two men in a car. As he got closer, police say the men, 18-year-old Trey Boykin and 23-year-old Gerry Patterson got out a gun and forced the student in the car.
Police say the men took money from the student and then dumped him out on Stone Park Boulevard unharmed.
Boykin and Patterson are both charged with 1st degree robbery and going armed with intent. They're being held in the Woodbury County jail on $50,000 bond. A court date for Boykin and Patterson has been set for March 7th.
