UNDATED (KTIV) -
You may have noticed that KTIV's Matt Breen looked a little different at the end of the 6:00pm newscast, Monday night.
He wore a one-of-a-kind t-shirt to commemorate the football history between Iowa and Nebraska. The two now play eachother as members of the Big Ten, but it wasn't always that way when they were in different conferences.
The shirt wasn't Matt's. It was auctioned off during the GiGi's Playhouse "I Have A Voice" gala, on Saturday night, at the Marina Inn. Alongside Tony Michaels, from KSUX Radio, Matt helped auction the shirt to raise money for a new therapeutic play area at GiGi's, which is a Down Syndrome awareness center here in Sioux City.
The winning bidder was so generous that donated the shirt back, and offered to give GiGi's another 300-dollars if Matt wore the shirt on the air.
