Norfolk fire causes thousands in damage

NORFOLK, Nebraska (KTIV) - A fire in Norfolk, Nebraska Monday destroys a shed and contents for damages estimated at $40,000.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m. Norfolk Fire Division was dispatched to 550th Ave.

Crews arrived to find the building engulfed in flames, and already burned to the ground.

It took 26 firefighters and nine trucks from Norfolk and Hadar half an hour to get the blaze under control.

The occupants were nearby at the time of the fire, but no people were injured during the incident.

The cause of incident is still under investigation.
