NEAR NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -
A Siouxland hotel is sprucing up their lobby and paying tribute to some local residents at the same time.
Officials at the Norfolk Country Inn say they wanted to improve the aesthetics of a wall in their main lobby area and decided to do so by putting up tributes of northeast Nebraska veterans both past and present.
The hotel unveiled its Wall of Honor during a recent ceremony.
Hotel managers say they have about 30 pictures of area veterans that have been brought in by family members framed and put on display for everyone to see.
Managers say the display has room for about 50 pictures right now, but they'd be more than happy to expand if they have to.
"We'll take this wall, this wall over here as well. As much as we need. I'd love it if we had to go around the corner," Randy Dee, Norfolk Country Inn Manager.
The hotel is still looking for more pictures and managers say anyone in northeast Nebraska can bring a picture of a vet to the Norfolk Country Inn.
They'll scan it and give the original back to the owner and make sure the photos get put on the wall with all the others
