The Rural Economic Development Director in Woodbury County is leaving his post



Rob Marqusee was appointed to the job in 2005 when the department was first created.

His salary is just over 66 thousand dollars.

As the leader of the department, Marqusee has pushed for organic farming and helped to launch the Liberty Park project.

In a letter to supervisors, Marqusee says he'll move to Boca Raton, Florida to care for his mother.

Woodbury County Supervisor Mark Monson says its still uncertain what they'll do with the vacancy.

Marqusee's last day will be May 1st.
