SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Christine McAvoy, a parishioner at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, says the Tsehaye Family, a family of 10 who belong to the parish, have recently faced several eviction notices to move out of their apartment complex on 19th and Pierce.
Despite recent notices, McAvoy now believes the apartment's landlord does not plan to evict them, but that they still need to find immediate, emergency housing.
The Tsehayes are originally from Eritrea, a small country in Africa.
They currently live in a two-bedroom apartment in Sioux City.
Now, they are looking for a bigger place.
For more information, we've posted part of a press conference, which was held on Wednesday, February 27th, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
