Visitors can choose to take photos with baby lambs, goats, and rabbits at the Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
It's that time of year, time to take the kids to see the Easter Bunny.
But, this year, the Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center is giving parents another option for this springtime tradition.
The center kicked off their 2nd annual "Bunnies and Buddies" photoshoot Saturday.
The event was created to get people to come in and check out animals up for adoption.
As part of the event people had the option to take photos with baby animals, like lambs, goats, and rabbits.
The center's manager said it's not just a great opportunity for pictures, but a chance for kids to learn about animals.
"They learn how to hold them, they learn basically what animals they can have or can't have within the city limits, and like I said, they're all very friendly and outgoing," Cindy Rarrat, Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue Center manager.
The pictures cost 10 dollars. And the event will continue tomorrow, from 12 p.m to 4 p.m. and next Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
