Morningside's Sievert takes title at NAIA Championship

DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -

Morningside's John Sievert defeated Missouri Valley College's Carl Lawrence
3-1 to win the 197 lb. title at the NAIA Wrestling National Championships.

Sievert is the second Mustang grappler to win a national title.  Head Coach Jake Stevenson won the programs first back in 2007.

The senior finishes the year with a 21-2 record and ends the year on a 19-match winning streak.
