SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The National Weather Service Meteorologists says snow is expected to redevelop Monday afternoon in areas from the Interstate 29 corridor and eastward.
They say it will become more widespread Monday night and continuing into Tuesday morning.
Further west there will be a few snow showers Monday and areas of light snow Monday night into Tuesday.
The heaviest snow is expected to be east of a line generally running from Brookings, South Dakota to Worthington, Minnesota to Spencer, Iowa.
That is where two to four inches of accumulation is possible.
Back to the south and west of this area, snowfall amounts will be around an inch from Huron, South Dakota to Sioux Falls to Storm Lake, Iowa.
The NWS says northwesterly winds will begin to increase across the area late Monday night into Tuesday.
They say the strongest winds will be located through the Missouri River corridor from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
