SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Who are the heroes in your life? The American Red Cross is looking for people in the community who make a difference.

The organization is accepting nominees for its Heroes Recognition Luncheon and the deadline is fast approaching.

Tammie Lee, Executive Director of Greater Northwest Iowa Area Red Cross, said the deadline to nominate someone is Friday, March 8.

She said they want to recognize common citizens, the unheralded and unselfish pillars of the community who go above and beyond.

Those selected will be honored at Red Cross Heroes Recognition Luncheon to be held April 16 in Spencer, Iowa. The Sioux City event is scheduled for April 18.
