SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (KTIV) -
Voters in Spirit Lake, Iowa, have approved a bond issue to pay for a new city hall.
The $1.4-million proposal is for a new facility at the same location.
270 votes, or 62% of voters, favored the bond issue. Just 169 votes, or 38% of voters, opposed the bond.
City Administrator Mark Stevens says this proposal was a scaled down version of the failed 2011 version. Stevens says the new building will provide needed space and provide a better space to conduct business.
