Sioux City students take books to the beach

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Siouxland students took a break from the cold and went to the "beach."

Parents of 2nd graders at Irving Elementary school were invited to the "beach" to eat lunch with their students.

The theme for today was the beach complete with staff dressed in grass skirts.

All the families who participated received a free book.
