PIERRE, S.D. (KTIV) -
A South Dakota legislative committee will meet Thursday to put final touches on the state's $4 billion budget.
But lawmakers say the budget won't be ready for consideration by the House and Senate until Friday, which is the final day of the main run of the session.
The Joint Appropriations Committee has delayed making amendments to the spending plan the panel can determine how much is available to spend.
That's because other bills being considered by the Legislature also will spend money.
