Onawa, IA woman asks for bench trial

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

An Onawa, Iowa, woman wants a judge to hear her murder case, instead of a jury.

Prosecutors say Ashley Cameron drowned her 15-month-old son in her home. They say she held Markis Dahms under a running faucet in the bathtub until he drowned.

Cameron has pled not guilty to the charge.

Her trial is still set for April.
