SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

IRGC schedules Sioux City site visit, comment period
Members of the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission will be hitting the road soon to take a look at the proposals for a land-based casino in Woodbury County.
On March 26th, the commission will tour the proposed sites around Sioux City.
Later that day, commissioners will hold an open meeting to hear public opinions.
They'll announced on April 18th which proposal will get the county's gaming license.

SD Legislature works on budget at end of session
South Dakota lawmakers are scrambling to pass a state budget today as the main run of this year's legislative session comes to an end.
The Joint Appropriations Committee hopes to finish work on the $4.1 billion spending plan by midday so the House and Senate can pass it later today.

Iconic Jolly Time popcorn buildings come tumbling down

And a Sioux City landmark comes down.
On Thursday, crews took down the big corn cribs at the American Popcorn Company with the familiar Jolly Time logos.
The wooden structures had stood since the 1960 to store popcorn on the ear while it dried, but they hadn't been used since 2006.
The company now stores popcorn in steel grain bins.
They plan to put new warehouses on the site.
