Grand Falls Manager: New Sioux City casino shouldn't hurt business

NEAR LARCHWOOD, Iowa (KTIV) -
Grand Falls Casino Resort opened almost two years ago, near Larchwood, Iowa.
Managers say business has been great.
They say they don't expect the new land-based replacement of Sioux City's Argosy Casino to impact their numbers very much.
Managers say that's because Grand Falls hasn't had much effect on Sioux City.
"I think Sioux City had that concern. I think you'll look at the numbers and obviously we see we haven't had that large of an impact on Sioux City. I think it would be the best thing for the customers to have a better facility," Grand Falls General Manager Sharon Haselhoff said.
Sioux City has four casino proposals in the running.
The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission will award one a gaming license, April 18th.
