Guests had a chance to sample appetizers throughout the evening during the STARS benefit.
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -
A local group that uses animals as therapy had the luck of the Irish behind them Saturday night. STARS held their fourth annual winter festival and auction.
Throughout the night, folks listened to music, sampled appetizers and bid on auction items to benefit the program that uses horses and dogs, to people with disabilities.
"I'm amazed at how large we've grown...the numbers that we've increased by, not only in programs, but also the riders," said Stacy Pedersen, executive director of STARS.
This is the biggest fundraiser of the year. STARS does not receive any state or federal funding.
