The Linn County Sheriff's Office says they arrested five people on gun, drugs and theft charges after serving search warrants at two Palo homes on Friday.
Sheriff Brian Gardner says an investigation was due in part to the burglary of a Palo business on January 29 in which numerous firearms were stolen.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old Jeremy McAtee, 34-year-old Joshua Charmosta, 26-year-old Joshua Matheny, 49-year-old John Matheny and 21-year-old Alisha Cryder.
McAtee is charged with possession of a firearm as a felon, first-degree burglary, manufacture of methamphetamine, aiding and abetting the manufacture of methamphetamine and third-degree theft.
Charmosta is charged with possession of precursors, aiding and abetting the manufacture of methamphetamine and driving while barred.
Joshua Matheny is charged with possession of a firearm as a felon, possession of stolen property, manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
John Matheny is charged with manufacture of methamphetamine.
Cryder is charged with an outstanding warrant for fifth-degree theft.
Gardner says officers from the Immediate Response Unit, Patrol Division and Detective Bureau simultaneously served search warrants at 407 Main Street and 29 Lincoln Drive in Palo.
Deputies reportedly found several illegal items including illegal narcotics and stolen items, including a stolen long gun.
