SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Sioux City's neighbors will have to pay a little more for water. Monday night, city leaders gave first round approval to an increase.
Dakota Dunes and South Sioux City are both under contract with the city, and are charged a minimum of one-thousand dollars whether they take water, or not
Rates are based on a percentage of the total operating expenses, and costs for capital projects.
The new rate also includes a profit factor of 15%. The increase is 7.2% for South Sioux, and 5.2% for Dakota Dunes.
